Thanks for the confirmations. Sorry the "from" address is so goofy it 
is showing the name of my computer. In time I will unsubscribe from my 
AOL address and re-subscribe from another.

Lou, perhaps you are using an early AOL version. Mine worked fine for 
years, then when I went to OS X on my Mac and AOL version 10.3 I could 
not get plain text.  AOL versions (8.0 for Windows; 10.2.1 and 10.3 for 
Mac OS X) seem to be incapable of sending plain text.
