[Vintage-race] Grattan/gear set

Grattan has a pretty long front straight and you would definitely run out of
RPMs with the 4.55. Even with the 4.2 you might have to keep an eye on the
tach toward the end of the front straight. The 4.2 should still give you
some power out of the corners.
BTW, Grattan is a great track and you are going to love it! Everybody who
drives it for the first time gets a real kick out of turn three.
Watch out for the little "whoop-ti-do" hill at the end of the back straight.
The car gets real light and if you get on the brakes too hard and too early
you will lock them up and slide right off the track. People do it every
race.
Hope to see you there in August.

I run a 4.2 differential on most tracks (VIR, BeaveRun, Summit Point,
Mosport) and a 4.55 on short ones (Lime Rock, Shenandoah, etc.). I'm
thinking
about driving out to the VSCDA event at Grattan and wonder if anyone can
compare
it to any of the above so that I can set up appropriately.
