He knew about the propane Morgan +8 and my Sunbeam S-7 motorbike. Stopped and talked with all the contestants about their cars, signed autographs and posed for pictures. May was alright though a bit of a berk, Clarkson was insufferably arrogant and always rude to everyone he met - but that’s Clarkson all over - and the Hamster was just a big time bore. After several visits by TG, the CEO refused to have them any more because they were too disruptive and troublesome. None of us who worked there ever watched TG anyway because collectively we knew more about the UK auto industry of days gone than the TG team and their so-called researchers who were hell to deal with.
