<div dir="ltr">An Army combat engineer friend used to say that there was no problem which an application of high explosive couldn't solve.<div><br></div><div>If you can tilt the block vertically (not critical but helpful), try applying heat to the crank nose/pulley ID, then hold a candle on it. The melted paraffin will wick around the bits, which should make removal somewhat easier.
