Before the pandemic I delivered a bunch of wheels to a shop down in Southern California. I had my Porsche 356 wheels re-chromed. They cut off the rim, chrome the parts then weld them back together. My brother, who also as a 356, he had his wheels re-chromed, and at the same time had his widened from 4.5 to 5.5, so again they cut off the rim and keep the center, and weld on a new rim. My son who had a 1962 Austin Healey Sprite, had his rims widened a lot, I don’t remember the numbers. So my point is you could have a new rim welded on to the stock centers, and of course they made sure they were straight and true. This was a few years ago but I still have the info if they are still in business.<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Perfect Custom Wheels</div><div class="">16516 S Western Ave.</div><div class="">Gardena CA 90247</div><div class="">310 -819 -6752</div><div class="">Talk to Carol or Javier</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Good luck,</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Rye<br class=""><div><br class=""><blockquote type="cite" class=""><div class="">On Jun 23, 2023, at 8:27 PM, DAVE HOGYE <<a href="mailto:dlhogye@comcast.net" class="">dlhogye@comcast.net</a>> wrote:</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><div class="">

<span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt;" class="">I have a couple or a few dozen TR3 wheels in my possession. They were all bent or out of round or not true. All of them, to different degrees of severity. I think some can be straightened or trued. Most have become hose hangers around my ranch. They made really nice hose hangers, patina and all. I use old wire wheels too. They are not worth rebuilding or repairing. </span>
