I have no history on this car. it is a “one owner car” sold to me by a guy who acquired it “from the original owner.” I think that at least is true in that he never titled the car and gave me the original title from 1960. I thought I
had a copy of the title but couldn’t find it. the title is already in my safe deposit box so I’ll post it another time. if I remember correctly its TS49XXX LO. So this could be the original engine? the car still has the metal transmission cover and the
overdrive transmission. once I get deeper into it I’ll see what the numbers look like. It does have an alternator conversion. Except for some rust around the battery tray the car is in excellent shape.

The car was in Bulverde, Texas, a suburb of San Antonio. The guy posted it on craigslist and I just happened to be perusing it at the right time. this guy has a weird collection of vehicles in a hanger there (we got the tour) and “is
going to sell most of them.” there are no other British cars there except for a Sunbeam Alpine which “runs and drives and just needs paint.” And some body work. some of the other vehicles “are totally restored.” Haha.

Here is the engine number on the one that was painted red. The other one, which had the TR3 in paintbrush on it is sitting on its side on a dolly so I can’t see the engine number. At some point we’ll move it and see the engine number.
The guy supposedly bought it for whatever reason and said he paid $600 for it.

I’ll start documenting this on my website (which is woefully out of date) once I get going later this year after I finish another project.
