You mentioned that the vibration comes from the front left wheel during left turns. Since the vibration comes through the steering, I would suggest that both front wheels could be suspect. Look for any interference of tires with body or suspension parts. Does the vibration occur at slight steering angles or only when steering sharp left? Don’t discount things like a cracked wheel or more likely, a bad tire. I have heard first hand accounts that even new tires can be defective.</span></div>

I’ve never done any work on an MG but I’ve never heard of a pre-load of 101 ft.-lbs. for front wheel bearings. All of our farm tractors, about 10, from a Farmall H to a Deere 4250, use the common specification of “hand tighten to a slight drag, and then back off to the nearest castellation”. That’s what I have done on all of our cars and trucks over the years and it seems to work.</span></div>
