I even bought a pilot bushing puller. Eventually I stuck my finger into the bushing and found I could move it fore and aft about 1/8 inch as it was loose in the bore but it hit the back side of the flywheel and would go no further. There are tricks to removing the bushing with a grease gun or jamming a piece of bread in there.
