I quickly got rid of my hardtop because of that problem. You can try to protect the paint will a barrier of sorts but then the hardtop won't seal properly. Any top in fair condition should bring easily $1,000. Any original top with transform a TR-6 in many ways.

<p class="MsoNormal">I’ve not seen any for sale recently except for those crappy fiberglass ones (Parrish? $450 - $700) but </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">he’s not interested in one of those. I understand that condition of the top will dictate the price but </p>
