Not sure what the issue was. He did mention the need for steel inserts to keep the gasket from being crushed, which might mean a thicker gasket and problems with things that bolt to the bottom of the pan (like the clutch slave brace). It came with some spring-loaded bolts (Thackary?) and safety wire. It seems to work well. Mine is on an alloy sump.
