I bought it as a parts car but as I left the seller said his father had bought the car new in 1957, had gotten married in it, and had driven it from one coast to the other (with pics to prove it). The old man was now in a nursing home and his wish was that he could get one last drive in the car. So the seller (his son) asked if he could buy it back if I were to restore it.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:.5in'><span style='font-size:11.0pt;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:.5in'><span style='font-size:11.0pt;color:#1F497D'>Yesterday I fired the car up and went through all the gears and overdrive with the car in the air (since it was raining here). This has been the most time-consuming and frustrating restoration I have done, but (apart from putting a couple of hundred miles on the clock) it is done – see pic.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:.5in'><span style='font-size:11.0pt;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:.5in'><span style='font-size:11.0pt;color:#1F497D'>Sadly the old man passed away last month.
