<div> <font size="3">I have the Audiovox on my TR6 (which is a close enough analog) without the vacuum canister. Works just fine. I mounted a bracket for the cable on the shelf in the firewall and used the beaded chain attached to the long linkage that runs behind the carbs. I can send pictures if you like.</font><br>

Subject: [TR] TR 250 (TR4) Cruise control<br>
<br>
<div dir="ltr">Hi,<br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">We are planning some long excursions this year in the TR 250, so I would <br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">like to install a cruise control in the TR 250.<br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr"><br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">There have been two basic options mentioned in various posts.<br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">1) The Rostra unit which is more expensive and seems to require have <br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">more installation requirements (for example a sensor on the drive shaft <br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">to register speed.) <br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr"><a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" removedlink__9b0b24ca-dd89-4b7b-836d-f5fdc5d5a3bd__href="http://www.rostra.com/universal-aftermarket-cruise-control-by-rostra.php">http://www.rostra.com/universal-aftermarket-cruise-control-by-rostra.php</a><br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">2) The recreation of the Audiovox cruise control, which requires a <br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">vacuum canister. Quite a bit cheaper than the Rostra. <br>
</div>

</div>
<div dir="ltr"><br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr"><br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">I have seen articles for installing both, but on carbs with a cable <br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">linkage but none with the throttle linkage like the early TRs.<br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr"><br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">Has anyone installed on or the other on a TR250, TR4, etc that has the <br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">rods, levers, bell crank arrangement? If so, how did you make the <br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">connection?<br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr"><br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">Thanks,<br>
