    If it is like the TR6 with rubber mounts (TR4 from CT20064?), see
    this reference about installing the mounts:<br>

    There was a factory tool, but I had good luck with directions like
    these.  Put the mounts on slightly loose, have a helper turn the
    steering wheel to one extreme and hold it while you tighten the
    compressed mount.  Repeat in the other direction.<br>
    <br>
    If you just put the mounts in and tighten them, it will be very
    sloppy.  I upgraded to poly mounts and liked the improvement.  <br>
    <br>
    When the car was restored, hopefully they replaced the tie rod
    ends.  If these are worn, that can be a related problem.<br>
