Oh, and then in 1973 he ran the engine dry and ended up getting a TR3 engine from a junk yard. And that extra hole in the firewall? Seemed he had some idea idea about re-routing cables which didn’t work out too well……..”<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>So I don’t know what to make of the gas tank in my TR4. It has a short breather pipe right behind the filler on top of the tank – not the vent tube the Moss catalog tells me it should have. And there is no drain plug – just an output on the driver’s side.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Is this a typical TR4 variant or does this car have a story to tell? And if anyone has seen this before, what should be done with the breather / vent pipe?
