I have been running one in my TR4A since I finished the restoration in 2013 with no problems at all. I have the earlier one that has the advance curve controlled by a little hexadecimal switch which has several preset advance curves. Newer models now can be programed using a laptop.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">As you may know, the 4 cylinder motors are set up with the tach drive under the distributor so I didn’t have to worry about getting an electronic tach.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">The distributor was pricey but it has quite a few nice features like balanced spark and a built in feature that turns off the power to the coil if the ignition is on for more than 30 seconds or so with the engine not running so you save the coil from overheating.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">There is a guy in the states that sells them which is a good thing. <o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">Dave Connitt<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">’67 TR4A IRS<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><a href="http://davestr4a.com">davesTR4a.com</a><o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><div><div style="border:none;border-top:solid #E1E1E1 1.0pt;padding:3.0pt 0in 0in 0in"><p class="MsoNormal"><b>From:</b> Triumphs [<a href="mailto:triumphs-bounces@autox.team.net">mailto:triumphs-bounces@autox.team.net</a>] <b>On Behalf Of </b>Creig Houghtaling<br><b>Sent:</b> Wednesday, February 7, 2018 2:28 PM<br><b>To:</b> Triumph List <<a href="mailto:triumphs@autox.team.net">triumphs@autox.team.net</a>><br><b>Subject:</b> [TR] 123 Distributer for TR6<o:p></o:p></p></div></div><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><div id="divtagdefaultwrapper"><p><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">I am building a TR6 engine with Goodparts triple Stromberg, GP2 cam etc. I am seriously considering the 123 distributer.
