<div>Any chance you might have the high output, very rare, optional heater intended for northern climates? The stock TR3 heater output is only about 5000 btu's with coolant temp at 185F or so. </div>

<p>For years I've read here about the TR3 heaters being deficient. Up until last year, I really couldn't tell, as I had never finished my side curtains. However, last year I did finish them, and used them in freezing weather. I learned why you need to have
 the sliding windows.</p>
<p>My heater (original) performs wonderfully.<br>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3" color="#1f497d" face="Calibri"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; color:#1F497D">     I made a new heater valve for the top of the head from fittings from the local TruValue hardware store.
 I used a ball valve with a lever handle and had to make a fitting to match the hose to the firewall fitting. Has worked great for about 10 years.</span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3" color="#1f497d" face="Calibri"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; color:#1F497D">     The major issue with my heater was the return pipe that goes from near the firewall to the water pump on
 the driver’s side. Mine had rusted solid since I had checked it last. I replaced it with a stainless steel one from either TRF or Moss.

 shows 185 degrees but temp through heater is warmish and I can grab with my hands the heater hoses going into the heater.  Checked flow and everything out and I'm pretty sure its the heater valve on the block.  It's the faucet type with the green round handle. 
 I'm thinking the inside broke loose and its closed.</span></font></p>

 the same vendor and I'm guessing they both might not be made well.</span></font></p>
