<font color='black' size='3' face='Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif'><font size="3">On my gauge the cap tube broke loose from the sensing bulb.  The bulb is still tight in the housing but the tube is free to rattle about.<br>

The very early TR4 gauges had domed lenses so if you can find an early TR4 temp gauge it is (mostly) indistinguishable from a TR3 cap tube gauge. <br>

As far as I know the port on the thermostat housing is the same between the<br>
TR3 and the TR4, but are the gauges the same?  I though the TR3 gauge was<br>
domed but the TR4 gauge is flat (but I may be mistaken and am glad to be<br>
corrected)<br>
