I found a new product that has worked for me on frozen bolts, it's Freeze and release from Loctite. There are a couple of other products like it that are also available. You just spray the freezing for about 20 seconds and then wait about 10 minutes and remove them. The idea is that it cools the bolt and shrinks it and in the spray there is also a lubricant and it penetrates. I've had some luck with this.

On Mon, Jul 17, 2017 at 12:00 PM, <triumphs-request@autox.team.net> wrote:

Send Triumphs mailing list submissions to
You might try heating with a torch and then using a candle and let
the wax work in. I used this method to remove rusted studs from a
TR6 exhaust manifold. You need to concentrate the heat on the nut
if possible.

To remove broken studs, you can try to weld/braze a bolt and then
use wax, wd40 or aerocrole (sp).

If you have a butterfly air wrench, set it to low torque and that
may help some also.
