<div dir="ltr">Hello Cliff,<div>Since replacing those pins, and those pins are available for about $2 each, why buy a new $40 fork? Am I missing something? I'l happy to try a $4 solution by drilling out my current flatted pins and pressing in new pins. I'm concerned if others have gone down this path with success. <div>A new fork should come with pins. If you're using an old fork, I think you only change those pins if they have clearly worn flat on one side. The hydraulics and adjuster can take up quite a bit of slack. If you need to replace them I doubt you need a press.
Probably just a bench vise. The pins face inwards it would be quite awkward to use a press in there.<br>

<div>Do you mean the pins on the fork which hold the throwout bearing? Or the single pin which holds the fork to the shaft? If it's the latter (single pin) it's threaded, you don't need a press. <br>
