So all the air trapped by the front wheel<br>wells would come rushing out through the gaps under the dash. Living in Chicago I drove the car year round for many years. It wasn't uncommon to see the car buried in snow similar to the one in the picture. I still enjoy seeing and old British car parked on the street (rare sight these days) that is driven, loved and lived with as much or more than I do seeing a pristine car on the show field.<br><br>But the sad fact is our cars don't last long as daIly drivers, at least in the rust belt.<br>The few cars I bought that weren't rusty when I bought them back in the day were oxidizing through the metal after a couple winters, but some of my best old driving memories are tearing around in a cozy little roadster on freshly fallen snow.
