It turns out that the choke cable from TRF is the type that you need twist 45 degrees to the right to get it to lock. I may have ordered an early cable by accident or maybe that is the one TRF sells for all TR6. In any event, I like the pull and twist to lock mechanism better than the old one I had for late model TR6. It has been a while since I changed one, so please forgive the simple question. I have the cables attached to both carbs securely. When I pull out the choke via the choke knob, the cables will not stay engaged with chokes open. The springs on the carb choke assemblies pull it right back to off position. I have tried this installed in dash and now not installed in the dash (hanging below free). Both times the choke will not stay on. I thought the original choke cable had two holes that engaged the choke open at two positions. There are two holes on the metal assembly. What am I missing here.

Thanks so much,

Jim Henningsen

Ocala, FL

62 TR4

75 TR6

73 Jag XKE

76 Celica GT

** triumphs@autox.team.net **

Donate: http://www.team.net/donate.html
Archive: http://www.team.net/archive
Forums: http://www.team.net/forums
Unsubscribe/Manage: http://autox.team.net/mailman/options/triumphs/mcgaheyrx@aol.com
