I have a 4 post 7000# DirectLift and my garage has a 9 foot
ceiling. It is 101 inches wide on the outside of the posts. I can
put my TR250 or my Stag on top, and park my XJ8 under it.<br>
I feel a 4 post is more versatile than a two post lift because you
can also jack a car on the lift and work on each corner with the
suspension loaded - better for torquing the suspension loaded - or
free hanging.<br>

Now if you, or anyone else on the list want a scissors style
EZCarLift.com and only need enough lift to get you onto a comfy
stool to work, I have a used 4000# EZLift with 65" spacers and

<p class="MsoNormal">I have been on the lookout for a decent
2-post car hoist for some time – I am getting too old and
stiff to do exhausts, engine and gearbox oil changes and brake
bleeding with the car on jack stands.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Anyway, I found a local outfit who could
accommodate my 10’ ceilings, but the only hoist they had was
140” external diameter. When I explained my TR3 only needed
about 6 feet between the posts I got a blank stare.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">My problem is, the flat portion of my
cement floor is only 130” wide: any wider than this and there
is a slope which would result in the arms being too high off
the floor to get under my cars.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Does anyone have experience with a car lift
/ hoist which would meet my requirements?<br>
