but not fire. Diagnosis revealed fuel in the float bowls but no spark. Not having any parts with me, we floated it home via CAA.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:#0070C0">The next morning, acting on advice from my mechanic, I tried a new rotor and this which made no difference. Subbing in the Lucas Sports coil, it fired right up.
So the Pertronix coil has failed and they have agreed to replace it under warranty.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:#0070C0"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:#0070C0">I’d be interested in hearing other experiences with this setup. Pertronix advises I can run with the Lucas coil as long as it is at least 3.0 ohms. As the Sports
coil is 3 ohms, I appear to be good, but am concerned about frying another coil. Obviously, I won’t travel without a spare.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
