Tom Boyd of TR Enterprises tells me the car is being sold because the
long-term owner who had it specially built has retired from racing.

Two reproductions were built by TR Enterprises and their network of
craftsmen and specialists — something Britain is still good at. Tom notes a
third reproduction is currently under construction.
