[TR] The List is Less Busy These Days

Here in the US car titles were dated for year of manufacture as a result of ever evolving emissions standards.  A car built to 1969 standards could not be sold with a 1970 title.  Before then it was not an issue.

 Me too.

Although my TR3A title shows it as a 1962, the build records for my car
(from the Standard Register and British Motor Industry Heritage Trust)
document that it was built on 18 February 1960. My car was shipped from
the UK to Portland, Oregon.

I, too, was told that the cars were titled as per the date they were sold,
not when they were built.

Build records are available from the Standard Register and from British
Motor Industry Heritage Trust.

titled as a '63, but I remember reading that they didn't build any TR 3s
in '63.  I've rarely posted in all those years, but I've read nearly every
issue since that date.  I have benefited >from some very valuable
information over those years.
