The car is on a ez lift and right now not too far off the ground. The trans is on an adjustable transmission jack. I'd like to get under the car and do some maintenance, but I'm trying to figure out the best way to support it as it goes up. there are a couple of bolts that I could attach it to. On my Spit bodied GT6, I cut a 1x4 to fit between the frame rails (to rest on the inward facing lower frame flange) and lift and place the "bellhousing" portion of the trans on the 1x4. I've supported the trans like this for months at a time in the past. Maybe something like this will be of use to support your trans. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... It's legit, I bought parts from Wayne Bier the owner of Triumph'sOnly around 2005..Regards, Carl'63TR4since'74 Admin: If the post is not allowed, please advise of other Triumph groups. I have already posted in the VTR group. Thank you and apologies for posting anonymously. Some may remember me, Wayne Bier, I?m the owner of the now closed Triumphs Only, 1st located in San Jose Ca, then Stockton Ca. It?s now time for this journey to close. If I would have scrapped everything 2 years ago, had 2 years of rents refunded, I definitely would be way ahead of the position I?m in now. I?ve held onto a lot from 44 years of collecting parts from thousands of cars. Currently 45+ cars, 4- 40ft full ocean containers of parts, 30 crates of miscellaneous parts and about 30 pallets of other car parts. NOS, NLS and rare used parts of almost every bit of parts from parts cars. From panels, clips, rust free body tubs, engines, to nuts & bolts. Probably every single chassis?s from every Triumph. I?d have a lot more but during 10 years of storage, I?ve been burglarized twice. Unfortunately all computers with inventory lists were stolen, along with most titles. I can lien sale the cars for the prospective buyer. I?m now living in Asia, happily married with 2 little boys 5 & 2 years old. I don?t plan on returning to the USA except to either sell to a serious individual, hold an auction or lastly scrap everything by the end of August 2024. I?m willing to work with buyers. I?m asking 100k for everything(all located in Stockton Ca) or a referral to an experienced professional auctioneer. I?m NOT looking to sell individual parts and I ask please don?t inquire about a certain rare part. If I was in USA I would try to accommodate you but since I?m 1000?s of miles away, I can?t. Thanks in advance. **************************************** -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
