[TR] helicoil in trans housing

That's a through-hole, is it not? The bore may be too big for for a heli-coil. But it might work. Let us know.
I was thinking along other lines and making a piece of curved steel with a couple of nuts welded on where the starter bolts attach.
I've successfully replaced a starter without pulling the transmission cover but it meant squeezing my arm up past the cover and the bell housing. Unnecessarily difficult at any rate.
