im not sure we are fine.i am constantly replacing the switch on my TR3 and my friends TR3. both of us using dot 5.it seems we get 9 to 12 months use per switch.been happening for the better part of the last 10 years.we don't get sludge accumulation, the switch just stops working.have tried the moss, TRF and napa parts.
would love to find a compatible switch.

Ignore the warning.  They have to put that in there because if you mix Dot 5 and 3/4 you get sludge.   In this litigious society they put that in to avoid being sued.  You are fine.

The hydraulically operated stoplight switch on my TR3 has once again failed. And yes, I am using silicone brake fluid.  When sourcing a replacement from NAPA (SL147), it came with a warning note that it is not approved for use with Silicone Brake Fluids. That was for a switch with spade connectors.

The identical switch with screw connectors (SL144) has no such note. But, the folks at NAPA weren’t able to provide any reassurance that that one would any more silicone tolerant.

Is anyone aware of an updated hydraulically operated stoplight switch that is silicone brake fluid tolerant?

The thread size is 1/8”X27

Thanks,
