You can put the fuel pump anywhere.   Been there done that.   You need to insulate the mounting.  Rubber grommets work well.

Do not buy Mr Gasket; they do not last.   I'm sorry you bought it from Moss.   You paid too much and it's probably low quality.   NAPA has them in stock.   You need the 2 to 4 PSI.

All - I'm sure this has been discussed before but my question is this - I have a freiend who plans to install a Moss supplied electric fuel pump to his TR3A. I don't know if it is the Facet pump or the universal Lucas pump. Any suggestions on the best place to mount this pump. I assume at the back of the car is best, below the fuel tank level.
