Never saw red.

If repainting and striving to meet factory appearance, you want a gloss black that somehow loses 50% of the gloss after an hour of first run under load. That’s what happened in Coventry when Engines went on the driven and then drive dynos. They went in all black and shining, to later emerge looking very faded. I managed to replicate this appearance on my last two Triumphs by using the cheapest non heat resistant gloss black paint I could find.
