I'm casting about for a modern receiver to replace the period Pioneer
radio/cassette player. Has anyone found a less pricey option than
Retrosound? I thought I'd found an AM/FM Bluetooth amp but it had been
discontinued.

I'm not especially concerned with an original look since I've got the Moata
seats and other "upgrades."  I'm really only wanting to pipe music into the
headrest speakers in the seats.
