Thanks, Sujit, for tipping me off to this 2000.  I will add another to my collection.  Jim and I came to agreement on price, and I will pick it up this month.  My search for a 2000 estate will be delayed now.

I have two friends who are looking for 2000s.  If anyone hears of cars out there, let us know.

Andy, you may be correct.  I?m sure it has some of the rust as installed at the factory.  It appears to be a complete car, and a manual to boot.  The two Mk 1s I have are missing the rear window, so this is worth just having all the glass to take three and make one good 2000.

If any of you are in Missouri, you can stop by and touch them.

This 2000 is our 42nd wedding anniversary.  I just haven?t told my wife yet.  It will be a ?surprise.?

Steve O

I'm sure you are correct about the rust being free; there looks to be plenty of it (much of it under failing Bondo)! :(
