That is a very smart and wise question, and I can attest to saying yes, he’s fully aware and gave consent for the book to be out on the internet for free.  

I’ve been in contact with Nick Black for several years now since I started Drive Your Triumph Day.  He sent me the book in PDF with the OK to distribute it and post it to our club website, https://triumphtravelers.org <https://triumphtravelers.org/>.  Shortly after that he sent me a DVD with some home movies of his father when he was just an infant.

June of last year I sent him a copy of the Vintage Triumph Register with several pages of photos I’d received for DYTD.  This is the email he sent me:

Just read through the VTR magazine. Your article is very interesting and seeing all those Triumphs and Standards represented is truly amazing. The thought of a 99 year old driving a Spitfire is inspirational, I must say.
