FWIW, I have 2 '64 TR4s (CT28xxx and CT35xxx) and both have ZS carbs with
the same crankcase vent system (valve cover vent into "flame trap"
branching into the air filter housings).  My assumption was that this set
up was implemented for the 1964 model year only...
