That's a great idea, if it works. But I thought the starter bolts were 3/8. Since you're tapping them you can chose fine or coarse thread.

Am really thinking of putting a helicoil in that top hole. Its 5/16 24 (fine thread). Anyone else done that? It looks like I can do it without removing anything else. Should I do it in coarse?
