[TR] Triumphs Digest, Vol 14, Issue 263

I don’t doubt that Toyota 5 Speed transmissions are smoother and more reliable than old Triumph transmissions, but, in my opinion, one of the best parts about driving an old car is recalling how they sounded, felt and drove back in the day. I love that. My wife has a newer sports car and I much prefer to drive my old Triumph (except the air bags part) I know it’s not everyones experience, but I bought my O/D on eBay over 20 years ago and it and the transmission have been 100% reliable - of course everything around them has been rebuilt over time…
