Joe,
Just did their calculator for the TR3 using all the same limits as Hagerty. CondonSkelly was 4x higher.

Just one more data point; a guy with a ‘70’s something Plymouth backed into my TR3 in a parking lot had State Farm. They sent a “specialist” to my house to appraise the damage and he said they would pay something like $3,700. I already had an estimate from a restoration shop that was more than twice that ( don’t remember the exact numbers). I called Hagerty, they said to send them pictures of the damage and a copy of the estimate from the restoration shop. They approved the repair the same day. I later received a check from State Farm for the $3700, I called Hagerty guy back and asked him what I should do with it and he said send it back. That’s the last I heard of it so I don’t know if hagerty got their money back.

Also, I really like the Hagerty Drivers club magazine.

I had my car with State Farm at a very good rate several years ago (along with my other cars and homeowner's insurance), but we switched agents and the good rate went away.

I shopped around and J.C. Taylor was more generous with their driving policy, including pleasure drives with the usual club functions, parades, that the other classic car insurance companies cover.

No mileage limits either, though I am pretty sure they ask if you have another car you rely on for daily driving, which is pretty standard I think.

I’m in Florida and my independent agent shopped for two “regularly” cars and two Triumphs and I came out ahead with Auto-Owners Insurance. I had been with Haggarty for 10+ years and wasn’t unhappy, just got a better quote from a good company. Also, no prior claims.

I’ve been with Hagerty for 20 plus years and never an issue. Great service and helped me on my accident with the Jag with 5 stars

Hi, all.

My old insurance company is getting out of the business so I am looking for a new one (I have a month or so before my policy expires). They sold the customer list to Hagerty; I may switch to them but I was wondering who else is out there that is a good, responsible insurance company that others have had good experiences with.

Thanks!
