Raymond Van Donk made up a CTK for his immaculately-restored and now-sold Powder Blue TR3A. He had an original sidescreen kit label and used a wooden box for his reproduction.

The original kits, per the late Alec Pringle, were oversized crappy things taking too much space for too little protection. They were always paperboard or hardboard as far as I know, not wooden crates. The TR Register forum had a discussion on the subject a few years ago.

Stan, you might have a copy of the reproduced TR6 label, yes?

From the September 1956 brochure, "Accessories for Standard and Triumph Vehicles". This shows the part numbers for the various kits available at that time.

I can provide some photos of kits for later models if anyone is interested. I thought the TR2/3 version was in more of a study wooden container versus the later cardboard versions?

I ran across an old Jan 55 Classified that lists a “Continental Kit “ as bits with the car. I seem to recall this was a collection of bits for traveling. I can’t seem to find reference to it in my early catalog files. There was a Continental Package in the Competition and Rally Catalog for the TR3?????? any one know what this was?
