Dave,

Thanks for the information. Anybody know where the turn signal flasher is for a 1972? Someone told me that It’s in the compartment on the passenger side.

Thanks,

Jeff N.

Thanks Dave. That explains it. Just checked the flasher in the engine bay. Turned on the blinkers and pulled the wires off the flasher. Blinkers kept working. Process of elimination. Tomorrow I switch flashers and see what occurs. Jeff for me my 4 way is in the engine bay under the fuse boxes

Thanks again Dave. Now the horn. Lol

Dave,

I’m having problems too with my flashers. Where are both flashers located? One is located in the engine compartment. But which one is that? And the other is located where?

Thanks,

Jeff N.

There is a separate flasher for the turn signal and the hazard flasher. The turn signal flasher has the light green black and the light green brown wires. The other one is the 4-way flasher.

You will also notice the hazard switch. These things are notorious for being dodgy so check it out thoroughly.

Hello all….another day at it……..

….My 4 way flashers are not working on my 72 TR6. Next to the fuses there is a flasher relay which I need to check tomorrow. That said…today while chasing another issue under the dash (passenger side) I discovered another flasher. Even though I have had the entire dash apart years ago I do not remember what that one is for. What I did notice is that there are 3 wires with only two connected to the flasher. The flasher does not have a 3rd leg. Any ideas on the above.

While we are on the electricals….my horn button is not working either. I have cleaned the pin in the hub and the contact plate on the hub button. What I get when I depress the button is a short click/thud which sounds like it is coming from under the dash. Ideas appreciated….

Thanks,

Alex Manzo
