 Well, maybe.  In one episode Napoleon Solo drive a TR4 and Maxwell Smart is well known for his Sunbeam Tiger.  And, of course, James Bond has diven a series of Aston Martins and a Triumph Stag.

British sports cars and TRs in particular made many appearances on Perry Mason.  One U.S. manufacturer supplied the regulars' cars each season (sometimes GM, sometimes Ford) so Perry got Caddies & Lincolns and Paul drove Vettes and TBirds.  Killers, victims and the accused drove other makes.  If they wanted you to know a character was dubious they put him in a Healey or a TR.
