If you are talking about the original style TR3 petcock, yes. I had a new one that leaked (Moss Motors’ response; “they all do”). Took it apart and polished the parts. Put it back together and it didn’t leak, still not leaking after a few years. I don’t remember what I used, may have just been polishing compound. I suppose 2500 grit sandpaper would also work.

Does anyone other than me have problems with these after market radiator drain plugs leaking (drips only) coolant?
