[TR] oil

Not sure I'm recalling correctly and I've deleted it, but was the original post about running Valvoline 20-50 synthetic?

Just my experience, of course, but I ran that for the life of the first rebuild I ran in the TR3. When I tore the engine down I found the lifters and cam had traded metal pretty severely. Have been running VR1 20 50 non-syn in this second rebuild. No issues so far and not seeing crud on the filler cap, but have yet to tear this engine down...thankfully!
