[TR] Aluminum cylinder head question

  I have what appears to be a flat / unwarped head. measured with a
straight edge  in an X pattern across the head. The only problem is there
is a slight impression of the fire ring from the gasket on one end. Does
this impression need to go? Implying I need the head skimmed?
This is for a Stag which is similar to that of a TR7
