Pointless, and quite possibly harmful.

 Above that hole is the cavity where the clutch is, and the clutch facings need to stay dry.  The leak is from either the rear main seal or the gearbox input seal (most likely rear main).

 If you stop up the bell housing drain hole, it will just leak from the cover plate. Then if you seal it up, the bell housing will slowly fill with oil until it fouls the clutch.

A much better fix is to fit the "Mad Marx" Viton rear seal. Unfortunately, that is an engine-out operation.
