[TR] Gas via reservoirs

Hi, Paul. There are likely better, easier, safer ways to run fuel to an engine for test-starts. One way would be to take a jerry can of fuel and run a line to the carbs. You could hook up a Fawcet electric fuel pump if you can't raise the can sufficiently for gravity feed. Saves the worry over spills, overflow, and so on, and gives you a bit more time with the idling engine before the fuel starves out. Just keep in mind not to idle too long to avoid overheating if you haven't set up the radiator yet.

I am not wanting to put fuel in the tank but rather carefully pour it in the SU carbs reservoirs. Why is it that I’ve been told not to do this? It’s worked in the past? I think I’ve been told not to do this, I really can’t remember.
