Hi Patrick,  

As I recall  there are several inputs into the circuit that runs those motors, which you'll want to check.  But it could simply be the original motors.  When I got my a/c system together and working, the original motor worked for awhile (spinning slowly) then quit altogether.  I replaced them with 2 modern motors that drew alot less current and no problems since.
