[TR] keeping triumphs in family

My opinion, consult a lawyer. The rules are Byzantine, and they change from
time to time.

When my late wife's insurance stopped paying, we were able to get her on the
CA version of Medicaid and I kept all my Triumphs. She could only keep some
small amount, I was allowed to keep a much larger amount, plus our house,
plus one vehicle.

However, he said that after she died, the state might try to recover those
costs from her estate (since the house would no longer be excluded). So the
house (and some other assets) were put in a trust with both of our names on
it.

A friend of mine, faced with the same problem, bought a $250,000 car (so
that much would be excluded from his assests).
