[TR] TR4 Spring Liners

I usually replace old leaf springs, but there was a period a few years back where they were difficult to source.
I think it was Randall who had mentioned a similar product (no lip) and so I bought a strip and had the guy rebuilding my leaves use the material between each piece.
At the same time, I made a lot of other changes (so I cannot assess the independent contribution of the liners) but the car rides very well and I am well pleased with the restored leaf springs now several years later.

Subject: [TR] TR4 Spring Liners
I'm about to undertake a rear suspension overhaul and remember a discussion about adding liners to the leaves, as seen here <https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Leaf-Spring-Liner-with-Lip-1-3-4-Inch,2079.html> . Can you share your experiences and thoughts about adding the liners? They are not expensive, so the question is whether or not they are worth the trouble.
TIA
