[TR] Speedo Bouncing

I know this has been discussed before, but thought I'd ask again.

My speedo needle bounces, or shows 80 when I'm doing 60. So, before going
to the extremes of pulling the speedo for repair I thought I'd R&R the
cable.

What's the best way to do this? Cleaning process? Which grease? Does adding
graphite help?
