Thank you Geo.  Any trouble with voles?  I love your house and live deep in the woods like you, white pine and beech mostly, some red oak and lots of maples of various kinds.


The first winter after restoration, I built an A-frame out of tin roofing and 2x4's staked into the ground with rods.  Uhhmm...until we had a microburst at the house.  Came home to find the A-Frame swapped end for end when, thankfully, I'd driven the car to work that day. Your solution is safer.
